Upstairs, the guest rooms feel crisp and clean; although the furnishings are traditional, there are no fussy lace treatments or curio shelves. The Lavender Room has a queen-size four-poster bed with a handmade quilt, an antique armoire and a modern bath under the eaves with a skylight. Across the hall, the Rose Room has an exquisitely painted queen bed and cheery pink walls.
