Do Good…Feel Good
Many people are discovering the best way to deal with tough times is to turn their attention on making a difference in the world. This summer, Habitat for Humanity is looking for able-bodied, big-hearted folks to help build houses on Cape Cod. Building began June 27th and will continue throughout the summer. There are jobs for all skill levels, from sandwich-making to plastering, interior/exterior painting, shingling/siding, landscaping, and sweeping up. Be a part of something great, and give yourself a proud answer to that inevitable Monday morning question: “What did you do this weekend?”
Your day of camaraderie and construction has earned you a day of reward! Female guests will enjoy a renewal facial--a half-hour stress-relieving treatment that includes massage, steam and mask, and a manicure to restore work-worn hands and nails. Men will enjoy a 45-minute relaxation massage. At lunchtime, we invite you to dine al fresco at a quintessential Cape Cod, casual outdoor café on the peaceful inlet at Sesuit Harbor. ($50 dining certificate will be provided).
$595 for a two-night stay with breakfast, arrangements with Habitat for Humanity, spa services, and Sesuit Harbor Café lunch.
Wet and Wild! (May through the end of September)
Cape Cod is one of the best viewing sites for humpback whales in the world--and this year has been a banner year for sightings! Travel by high-speed boat out to the feeding grounds at Stellwagen Bank, where you are guaranteed to see whales. Guests have reported seeing humpbacks, minke, and right whales, breeching, and cavorting, and coming right up to the vessel, with their calves! Lucky guests have also seen white-sided-dolphins swimming in the wake of the boat, and large groups of enormous basking sharks.
After an afternoon of wondrous sightings, you’ll have a romantic sunset cruise for your return trip. Mellow out with a bottle of wine paired with a selection of seasonal fruits and cheese, and crackers; and a box of Chukar® dark chocolate-covered cherries. Back on land, choose from a delicious and varied menu of Mediterranean seafood, pasta or wood stone pizzas, and salads at Ardeo Taverna.
$585 for a two-night stay with breakfast, two admissions to Hyannis Whale Watch, bottle of wine, seasonal fruits, cheese, crackers, chocolate-covered cherries in complimentary insulated bag; $50 gift certificate toward casual dining for two at Ardeo Taverna.
